TORY WALSH

*Currently accepting new teen clients 16+ (Tory is not accepting new child clients)*

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I have an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Waterloo and have completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.

My clinical experience includes supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD and ASD, as well as children and adolescents struggling with various presenting mental health concerns.

My approach is informed by various modalities including Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Play-Based therapy. I integrate emotional regulation and somatic experiencing techniques that target anxiety and trauma symptoms, and draw from strengths-based and person-centred approaches that prioritize treatment formulation through the lens of your values and goals.

I am committed to holding a safe, nonjudgmental space for my clients and approach therapy with you collaboratively. I enjoy using humour and remaining authentic and genuine throughout the therapy process.

My personal interests include getting outside with my family, practicing yoga, and watching movies. I realize the courage it takes to reach out and ask for help, and hope I can support you on your healing journey.

(Tory’s practice is supervised by Bernadette Street, RP, CCC).

In order to create a safe space for your child and protect their confidentiality, I do not treat children for custody disputes or provide access report/parenting plans.
