Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist

Part-time hours: 8 - 15 client hours per week

Salary: $87 to $102 per hour

We are growing, and looking for a Therapist to join our team! At New Moon Counselling we providing high quality mental health support to children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Our team is passionate about helping clients attain their goals, and support them through the challenges of life. We aim to create a safe, fun and collective team environment, offering each other support, debrief, team meetings and events (game days, team lunches, etc.), as well as training opportunities to foster our professional development.

Requirements

• A Masters Degree in Social Work or Masters Degree in Psychology, Counselling, etc. (equivilant)

• Registration, and in good standing, with the OCSWSSW or equivalent OR registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) is required

• Minimum 2 years clinical counselling experience (open to applicants with 1 year placement experience)

• Post graduate training in therapy models, such as play therapy, art therapy, music therapy, IFS, DBT, etc.

• Flexible on evenings & weekends

• Training in children, teens, couples

• Certificate in EMDR an asset

• Able to acquire your own personal liability insurance

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities

• Strong skills in case conceptualization, treatment planning, and progress notes

• Preference for those with experience and skill working with children and teens, in areas of addictions, ADHD, ASD, seld-esteem, trauma, suicidal ideation; as well as working with couples in areas of infidenlity, family planning, trauma, etc.

• Ability to maintain high levels of self-care

• Ability to work effectively with team members

• Ability to efficiently manage time while showing flexibility in a very active environment
